Osama bin Laden

I suppose we should all be celebrating the death of such an evil man.  Luke Hyde really said what I was thinking.  He commented that we don't celebrate the death of any person.  President Obama was cautious in speaking of this matter on 60 minutes.  He said we, "shouldn't spike the ball." I agree.  The Bible teaches that when the Pharoah's army was swallowed up in the Sea of Reeds, even then we were to remember that our enemies, too, were God's children.
I am no Bible scholar!  But I do know that when we dance in the street we run the risk of inflaming the anger of the Arab world.  I will never forget my anger at seeing Palestinians celebrating after 9-11.  I don't know what effect that had on others, but I feel that that moment really galvanized the anger of Americans.
Today we all need to be grateful that our President knew how important going after Bin Laden was.  He made it the priority that our Republican administration neglected in order to go into Iraq.  The President referred to Bin Laden's death as justice.
There, I disagree.  There is no way Bin Laden's death can ever soothe the wounds of the thousands of families here in the U.S. and around the world.  It might console them to know that their chief tormentor has been taken to task for his evil deeds.  However, real justice will be when we see the demise of Al Quaeda.
